Description
This kit is designed for independent filmmakers and includes the Nikon Z 6II full-frame mirrorless camera, the FTZ Mount Adapter, the Atomos Ninja V, a SmallRig quick-release camera cage, and a selection of useful accessories. It provides the essential tools needed to elevate your video production.
The Nikon Z 6II camera included in the kit comes with the RAW video output function already activated.
Record ProRes RAW from camera RAW
The Nikon Z 6II can output a 12-bit RAW video stream directly to the included Atomos Ninja V. The Ninja V records this stream as ProRes RAW, offering greater flexibility when colour grading and preserving detail in both highlights and shadows.
More freedom to create
Whether you are an experienced professional or just beginning your filmmaking journey, this kit gives you a solid and adaptable foundation for creating high-quality video content. The Nikon Z 6II delivers exceptional video quality at any frame rate, producing detailed 4K footage oversampled from 6K with full-pixel readout. The camera’s in-body five-axis optical stabilization works in combination with electronic VR for smooth, steady shots. It also supports the Atomos open protocol for seamless integration with the Ninja V.
Atomos Ninja V
This monitor/recorder allows for flexible monitoring and recording in ProRes and DNxHR formats. It supports 4K 10-bit recording with N-Log and can record uncompressed 8-bit 4K/UHD files to both the camera’s memory card and the Atomos unit at the same time. A power adapter and a hard-drive caddy are included.
The Atomos Ninja V can be mounted to the camera cage using the Magic Arm clamp. The dual ballhead screw clamps allow steady positioning at any viewing angle, and a central wingnut secures or releases the entire arm.
The camera cage and top grip feature mounting holes in two sizes, along with holes compatible with ARRI extension blocks. The grip provides added stability for moving shots, making pans and tracking movements easier.
The SmallRig camera cage includes a built-in quick-release system compatible with Manfrotto, allowing fast transitions between handheld use, tripods, and monopods.
Power is supported by two 5200 mAh batteries and a fast charger for the Atomos unit, ensuring longer shooting sessions. An extra EN-EL15c battery is included for the Nikon Z 6II.
A coiled HDMI cable helps keep the setup tidy and reduces strain on connectors. It supports high-speed HDMI 2.0 for 4Kp60 ProRes and RAW high-frame-rate recording.
