DJI Matrice 4 - Obstacle Sensing Module (CP.EN.00000648.01)

The Obstacle Sensing Module uses a combination of rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar technologies to improve positioning in low-light environments. It is designed to maintain operational safety in complex areas, such as power grid distribution networks and the detailed layouts of substations.

Tips

• Always power off the aircraft before installing or removing the module.

• When installing, tighten the rear screws and use the included hex screwdriver to secure the hand-tightened screws for a stable installation.

• After installation, update all devices to the latest firmware and complete activation as instructed in the app.

• Before flying, check that the Obstacle Sensing Module is functioning properly. For best results, operate in areas with strong GNSS signals and favorable weather. Note that the module’s performance may be limited in certain conditions:

  • The aircraft cannot actively avoid fast-moving objects, such as wind turbines in operation, moving cranes, or flying birds.

  • Obstacle avoidance abilities can be affected by environmental factors like clouds, fog, rain, snow, dust, and also by the target object's material, position, and shape.

  • In some countries or regions, radar features may be restricted or limited by national policies. Check with your local dealer for details.

• The module contains precision components. Handle with care to avoid impacts or drops, which can cause damage or reduce accuracy.

• When the module is not in use, install the protective cover to prevent surface wear.
