Jotron Tron AIS-SART with bulkhead bracket (85037)

The Tron AIS-SART is notable for its compact size and advanced technical capabilities. Its housing is identical to Jotron’s radar-SART, the Tron SART20, with a total height of 251 mm and a weight of only 450 grams.

This device is programmed at the factory with a unique identification code and receives its position through an internal GPS antenna. It combines this data and transmits it using international AIS channels (AIS A and AIS B) in the maritime VHF band.

The Tron AIS-SART is a GMDSS search and rescue transmitter, certified with the “Wheel Mark” according to European Council Directive 96/98/EC and the latest Commission Directive 2011/75/EU (7th amendment).

Both the Tron AIS-SART and Tron SART20 are approved as search and rescue locating devices under IMO SOLAS Amendment Resolution MSC.256(84), giving ship owners the flexibility to choose either product as required by SOLAS Chapter III, Regulation 2.2.
