The ZWO ASI 678MC is a compact astronomical camera designed specifically for planetary astrophotography. It is an upgraded version of the ASI 178MC model, offering reduced noise levels and eliminating the amp-glow effect.

At the core of this camera is the color Sony IMX678 sensor, which incorporates backlight (BI) and Sony Starvis 2™ technology. This combination provides exceptional sensitivity in both the visible and near infrared range. The sensor also boasts an impressively low level of readout noise, measuring only 1 e for an amplification of 8 dB. Coupled with a sophisticated 12-bit analog-to-digital converter, the camera ensures breathtaking results under any conditions.

Encased in a lightweight and compact aluminum housing, the ZWO ASI 678MC features the signature red color associated with ZWO products.
