The Optolong SHO 3 nm 2" Filter Set is a premium collection of three 2-inch astronomical filters tailored for astrophotography enthusiasts using monochrome cameras or specially modified SLRs. This set is engineered to deliver stunning, high-contrast images of celestial phenomena, akin to those captured by the Hubble Space Telescope.
These narrowband filters, part of the HSO palette, are optimized for capturing the intricate details of emission nebulae and supernova remnants. With advanced production technology, these filters provide extremely narrow passbands while ensuring high optical efficiency. They offer excellent transmittance for the Hα, S II, and O III lines and effectively reduce light pollution from sodium and mercury lamps, making them ideal for urban astrophotography.
Each filter in this set is equipped with a full multi-layer anti-glare coating applied using ion implantation techniques, ensuring exceptional optical performance and durability with scratch resistance.
