The Astronomik CLS filter is an affordable and versatile option for reducing light pollution during visual observation, black-and-white photography, and CCD imaging of nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters. It is designed for use with a wide range of astronomical instruments and is particularly effective in blocking the spectral lines of mercury and sodium-vapor lamps while allowing most visible light and H-alpha emissions to pass through. This ensures that important emission lines and the spectral region visible to a dark-adapted eye can be effectively utilized.
