The Astronomik UHC is the ultimate filter for visual observing.

With the Astronomik UHC filter, you will enjoy a significantly improved stargazing experience. It allows you to see more stars and finer details in deep-sky objects compared to filters from other manufacturers.

The Astronomik UHC (Ultra High Contrast) filter ensures nearly 100% transmission of radiation from O-III and H-beta lines. While the secondary window for the H-alpha line is not designed for visual observation, it is highly beneficial when using electronic imaging devices. The filter reliably blocks scattered light and artificial light pollution from other wavelengths, resulting in a darker sky background. This enhanced contrast reveals an incredible wealth of detail in gas and planetary nebulae.

Astronomik UHC filters deliver outstanding performance even with small telescopes starting at 2" (50mm) aperture. Their high light transmission ensures enough brightness for successful visual observations. These filters are optimized for telescope focal ratios between f/4 and f/15, minimizing chromatic distortions and transmission losses. Only extremely fast focal ratios (f/2 or below) may exhibit minor issues.

Another significant advantage is the exceptional optical quality of the filter glass. When using Astronomik UHC filters, you will continue to enjoy the same needle-sharp star images that your telescope delivers without any filter.
