Description

The StarSense Explorer telescope simplifies stargazing by using your smartphone to analyze the night sky and calculate its position in real time. It is ideal for beginners, thanks to the intuitive StarSense Explorer app, which offers detailed tutorials and acts as a personal guide to celestial objects.

Effortless Navigation:
Forget complicated star charts, inaccurate planetarium apps, and bulky computerized mounts. With StarSense Explorer, locating celestial objects is faster, easier, and more accurate. Within minutes of setup, you’ll confidently navigate the night sky. Simply place your smartphone in the StarSense dock and launch the app. After a quick 2-minute alignment with the telescope’s optics, the app generates a list of visible celestial objects. Select an object, follow the onscreen arrows to move the telescope, and when aligned, the bullseye turns green—indicating it’s ready for viewing.

Advanced Technology:
StarSense Explorer uses patent-pending technology combined with your smartphone to determine exactly where the telescope is pointed. Its Lost in Space Algorithm (LISA), similar to those used by satellites for orientation, matches star patterns detected overhead with its internal database for precise alignment.

Light Pollution Friendly:
Even in light-polluted areas, StarSense Explorer can identify major celestial objects such as Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, the Orion Nebula, double stars, and more.

Smartphone Compatibility:
The minimum smartphone requirements and tested models are available separately.

The Dobsonian Advantage: Simple and Quick Assembly

Dobsonian telescopes are renowned for their simplicity and ease of use. They consist of just two main parts that can be assembled in no time. Dobsonian mounts are also much more affordable than equatorial mounts of comparable size. These telescopes are primarily designed for visual observation, making them perfect for discovering the wonders of the night sky with your own eyes.

N 150/750 Telescope: Versatile Newtonian Reflector

This Newtonian reflector telescope offers excellent performance at an affordable price. With its 150mm aperture, it collects enough light to reveal deep-sky objects (DSOs) like the Ring Nebula in Lyra or the Dumbbell Nebula in stunning detail. Globular clusters such as M13 resolve into individual stars at their edges, while planetary observations reveal rich details on Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, and Mars.

With an f/5 focal ratio, this telescope is classified as a "fast" Newtonian reflector. This makes it particularly suitable for astrophotography while maintaining excellent performance for visual observation. Its light-gathering capacity is 460 times greater than that of the naked eye (with a fully dilated 7mm pupil).

Advantages at a Glance:

  • High light-gathering power with a 150mm aperture

  • Compact design resists vibrations and wind

  • Diffraction-limited parabolic primary mirror for sharp images

  • High contrast due to thin secondary mirror spider vanes

  • Portable and quick to assemble

  • Short focal length allows shorter exposure times for astrophotography
