Vixen's Polarie Star Tracker is a highly popular camera mount designed for astrophotography. Unlike traditional telescope mounts, it directly holds a camera and tracks the rotation of the night sky, enabling long-exposure shots of celestial objects. Precise alignment with the celestial pole is crucial for optimal performance, even with this compact mount. While the Polarie includes a peephole for basic polar alignment, this method is only sufficient for short exposures. For more accurate alignment, Vixen offers an optional polar finder scope. However, using the polar finder requires removing the camera, which alters the weight distribution and may cause slight movement, making it difficult to maintain alignment during photography.

Lacerta's Off-Axis Mount (OAH-1) provides an elegant solution to this issue. It allows polar alignment using the polar finder scope without needing to remove the camera, ensuring stability and eliminating disruptions to the setup.

Features of the Illuminated Polar Finder:
