Excellent Optics

The Levenhuk Rainbow 2L PLUS biological microscopes are made from only the best materials. The lenses are crafted from special optical glass with high transparency. All optical surfaces are coated with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating, which improves image sharpness and contrast.

The set includes three objective lenses, offering magnifications of 64x, 160x, and 640x. The most powerful objective (40xs) features a special spring mechanism to protect the optics.

Combined Illumination

This model features two LED light sources. The lower illumination is ideal for viewing transparent samples such as liquids or thin slices of plant and animal tissue. The upper illumination allows you to observe opaque objects like paper, minerals, textiles, and metal. When both light sources are used together, you can examine semi-transparent objects. The brightness is adjustable for optimal viewing.

Durable and Practical Design

The sturdy metal body is designed to withstand frequent use and will last for many years. For added comfort, the monocular head is angled at 45° and can be rotated 360°. This is especially convenient for group work, as you only need to rotate the head instead of moving the entire microscope.

The microscope can be used both indoors and outdoors, as it can be powered by either an electrical outlet or batteries.

Caution: In most European countries, the mains voltage is 220–240 V. If you plan to use the device in a country with a different voltage, a voltage converter is required.
