Description
Polaris telescopes are an affordable entry point into astronomy, offering everything beginners need to start exploring the night sky. The Meade Polaris series features compact telescopes mounted on a stable equatorial mount, allowing for easy tracking of celestial objects by aligning one axis with the Pole Star. This setup enables smooth manual tracking using flexible slow-motion controls, or you can upgrade with an optional motor for automatic movement. Each Polaris telescope comes with a sturdy steel tripod for added stability and a comprehensive set of accessories to enhance your observing experience.
The N 127/1000 model is a classic Newtonian reflector with a 127mm aperture and 1000mm focal length. This design provides bright, sharp images without chromatic aberration, making it ideal for viewing the Moon, planets, and brighter deep-sky objects like the Andromeda Galaxy or Orion Nebula. Its large mirror gathers over 300 times more light than the naked eye, revealing impressive detail in both solar system and deep-sky targets. The EQ-1 equatorial mount allows for precise alignment and tracking, with slow-motion controls and a counterweight for balance.
