Description
The AE2000-MET is an inverted metallurgical microscope specifically designed for inspecting large, opaque samples commonly found in industrial environments. It is particularly suitable for heavy specimens, such as those from the automotive industry, as focusing is achieved through the 5-position nosepiece rather than moving the sample itself. The microscope features a smooth-moving 3-plate stage, allowing for precise specimen positioning.
A major highlight of this system is its complete set of LM Plan Achromatic objectives, which deliver outstanding image quality with high contrast and resolution in both bright field and dark field applications. All bright field objectives from the BA310-MET series can also be used with this microscope without any loss of optical performance. The powerful 50W halogen light source provides ample illumination for demanding techniques like dark field and polarized light contrast. For added convenience and energy savings, the built-in AUTO-OFF mode automatically turns off the illumination after 15 minutes of inactivity.
The AE2000-MET is built with exemplary manufacturing quality, ensuring a long service life even under the tough conditions of industrial manufacturing processes.
