Motic BA310 MET-T binocular microscope (6 "x4") (45011)

The BA310MET series is a robust and affordable line of metallurgical microscopes designed for efficient incident light observation of opaque materials such as minerals and metals. These microscopes are ideal for industrial quality control and are also well-suited for educational settings in engineering and materials science, where ease of use and reliability are essential. The BA310MET features a powerful Epi-Illuminator with a 12V/50W halogen light source, which can be easily switched to an LED module for different color temperatures (4500K or 6000K) to suit various sample types and user preferences.

To optimize image quality, the microscope includes a built-in field diaphragm and aperture diaphragm to reduce stray light and enhance contrast. The Long-Working Distance LM Plan objectives, with multi-layer coatings, provide excellent image contrast, while the fully corrected tube lens ensures images are free from color fringes. The trinocular port allows for high-quality digital imaging, and the design includes a standardized ISO photo exit for documentation. Depending on the model, stages of different sizes and travel ranges are available, including options for transmitted light and larger samples.

Objectives
The BA310MET series uses a new generation of LM Plan Achromatic objectives made from high-quality glass, following the Motic CCIS® Optical concept. Multi-layer coatings deliver improved contrast and image quality. The reversed, ball-bearing 5-fold nosepiece ensures precise alignment and consistent results at all magnifications. For advanced applications, high NA EC-M Plan objectives are available.

Illumination
The Epi-Illuminator uses a 12V/50W halogen lamp with an external power supply to minimize heat near the microscope. The halogen bulb can be replaced with a 3W LED module (4500K or 6000K) for extended lifespan and different lighting options. The BA310MET-T model also features built-in 6V/30W halogen Koehler illumination for transmitted light, which can also be upgraded to LED.
