Description

The BA310MET series is a robust and affordable line of metallurgical microscopes designed for incident light applications. These microscopes are ideal for industrial quality control of opaque materials such as metals and minerals, offering both ease of use and reliable performance. The BA310MET also excels in educational settings for engineering and materials science, where cost-effectiveness and user-friendliness are essential.

 

To meet the needs of daily industrial work, the BA310MET features an Epi-Illuminator with a powerful 12V/50W halogen light source, which can be easily swapped for an LED module in different color temperatures (4500K or 6000K). A built-in field diaphragm and aperture diaphragm help reduce stray light and increase contrast for optimal image quality. Motic’s Long-Working Distance LM Plan objectives, with multi-layer coatings, deliver excellent contrast and clarity. The fully corrected tube lens ensures intermediate images are free of color fringes, and the trinocular port allows for high-quality digital imaging. The design also includes a standardized ISO photo exit. Depending on the model, stages with various sizes and travel ranges are available, including options for transmitted light and handling larger samples. For the largest specimens, the BA310MET-H model is recommended.

 

Objectives
The BA310MET series uses a new generation of LM Plan Achromatic objectives made from high-quality glass, following the CCIS® Optical concept. Multi-layer coatings enhance contrast and image quality. The reversed, ball-bearing 5-position nosepiece ensures precise alignment and repeatability. For advanced resolution, EC-M Plan objectives are also available.

 

Illumination
The Epi-Illuminator is based on a 12V/50W halogen lamp with an external power supply, minimizing heat near the microscope. The halogen bulb can be replaced with a 3W LED module (4500K or 6000K) for extended lifespan and different lighting options.
