The "All in One Box" Concept

Motic ensures that every Moticam package contains all the necessary components for attaching the camera to your microscope. Supported by a dedicated team of software and mechanical engineers, each Moticam includes everything required to help you transform your images into valuable knowledge. The box typically contains:

• An attachable camera with a sensitive professional imaging chip, housed in a C-Mount case and equipped with a removable IR cut-off filter.

• A focusable, coated glass lens matched to the imaging chip size.

• Two adjustable eyepiece adapters, allowing attachment to almost any microscope without removing the eyepiece.

• A 4-dot calibration slide with micrometer cross-hairs for accurate measurement calibration.

• A macro viewing tube, ideal for using the camera without a microscope when combined with the focusable lens.

• All necessary cables and power supplies.

• A full version of Motic Images Plus application software for quantifying, measuring, annotating, teaching, and learning.

How to Connect Your Moticam

• Onto the trinocular tube: Attach the Moticam to a C-mount adapter and fix it to the trinocular port. This setup allows you to continue observing with both eyes while the camera is connected. The correct C-mount adapter should be chosen according to the camera’s chip size. If you need assistance, Motic specialists are available to help.

• Onto the eyepiece: Attach the camera to the focusable macro lens and select the appropriate eyepiece coupler for your microscope. Place the entire assembly onto the eyepiece to convert your conventional microscope into a digital system. This method works with both Motic and non-Motic microscopes.

• Into the eyetube: Attach the eyetube adapter to the Moticam, remove an eyepiece from the microscope, and insert the Moticam-eyetube adapter combination. This also transforms your microscope into a digital system. The special eyetube adapter (B&S) is optional and compatible with non-Motic microscopes.
