Planetary, Lunar, and Solar Imaging:
Achieve sharp, detailed images of fast-changing or subtle features in our solar system. The camera’s high frame rate allows you to freeze atmospheric turbulence, a technique known as “lucky imaging.” This is made easy by modern electronics and the high bandwidth of USB 3.0. The included Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software features a Region-Of-Interest function, which maximizes frame rates by only reading the relevant part of the sensor-ideal for focusing on planets or specific details.

Deep-Sky Astrophotography:
The highly sensitive CMOS chip makes it easier than ever to capture faint nebulae and galaxies. High quantum efficiency and low read noise allow you to reveal details that are invisible through standard visual observation.

Autoguiding:
Find a suitable guide star anywhere in the sky, even faint ones, thanks to the camera’s high sensitivity. Short exposure times and high guiding frequencies help correct even small tracking errors. The camera is natively compatible with PHD2 and features a built-in ST4 guide port, making it an excellent choice for autoguiding.

Functional and Lightweight Design:
The robust anodized aluminum body is shaped like a standard 1.25" eyepiece, fitting any telescope without adding extra weight. The camera front features both C- and CS-Mount threads, and with an adapter, a standard 1.25" filter thread, allowing direct attachment of small CCTV lenses or a wide range of astronomical filters.

Sensor Protection and Transmission:
A filter window shields the sensor chamber from dust and humidity. Color camera models include an infrared-blocking filter, ensuring accurate color representation by removing unwanted IR wavelengths. Mono camera models feature an anti-reflection window that is transparent from ultraviolet to infrared, giving you the freedom to use your own filters for advanced imaging or photometric work.

Wide Software Compatibility:
Omegon Pro cameras are compatible with many astrophotography programs via ASCOM and INDI interfaces. Native support is available for popular applications such as PHD2 and N.I.N.A., with compatibility expanding regularly.
