The Steeltrail focuser solves this with hard stainless steel in all critical areas. The V2A stainless steel ball bearings run on stainless steel rails, providing exceptional precision and preventing slippage, even under heavy loads.

Precision focusing with 1:10 reduction gearing

At high magnifications or when doing astrophotography, achieving perfect focus can be challenging. The 1:10 reduction gearing allows you to make extremely fine adjustments-turning the stainless steel focus wheel moves the 2" tube by just a tenth of a millimeter. A half-turn of the wheel changes the focus by about one millimeter, making it easy to find the exact point of sharpness.

High load capacity

This focuser can handle heavy eyepieces and cameras, supporting up to 5 kg. Thanks to its quality construction, the 2" tube remains firmly in position and does not slip, even when unclamped.
