Design and Optical System

This scope is designed and made in Japan, featuring a compact HDF ED (extra low dispersion glass) optical system. The 60mm model measures 260mm in length. Built from lightweight materials, the MM4 weighs about the same as a pair of 42mm binoculars, making it easy to carry and use without support for clear, flat-field viewing at magnifications below 20x. Unlike binoculars, the MM4 delivers impressive clarity and detail up to 45x (60mm) when used with HDF T or SDLv2 zoom eyepieces. It is compatible with HR, HDF, and SDL eyepieces, allowing current fieldscope owners to use their existing eyepieces with the MM4 body.

Durability and Handling

The MM4 is nitrogen-filled and fully rubber-armored, providing excellent protection against knocks and bumps. It comes with a tripod adapter that allows for +/- 90-degree rotation, making it easy to set up in a hide or from a sitting or prone position. The 8:1 dual focusing system ensures precise focusing at all magnifications.
