Optolong Filters Clip Filter for Nikon Full Frame UHC (59455)

The Ultra High Contrast (UHC) broadband filter is designed to enhance the visibility of various deep sky objects by selectively reducing the transmission of wavelengths associated with light pollution. It effectively blocks unwanted light from artificial sources such as mercury and sodium vapor lamps, as well as the general sky glow, while remaining highly transparent to the main emission lines of nebulae, including OIII (496nm and 500nm), H-beta (486nm), NII (654nm and 658nm), H-alpha (656nm), and SII (672nm). This results in improved contrast and detail for both visual and photographic astronomy, particularly in areas affected by significant light pollution.

This filter is specifically designed for use with Nikon cameras, utilizing a clip-in cell for easy installation.
