QHY Camera 294M Pro Mono (85058)

The QHY Camera 294M Pro Mono is a cooled monochrome astrophotography camera designed for high sensitivity and versatility in capturing detailed images of the Moon, planets, nebulae, and galaxies. It features a back-illuminated CMOS sensor, which allows more photons to reach the photosensitive layer by placing the wiring beneath it. This design increases quantum efficiency, making the camera especially effective for imaging faint astronomical objects.

Description

The QHY Camera 294M Pro Mono is a cooled monochrome astrophotography camera designed for high sensitivity and versatility in capturing detailed images of the Moon, planets, nebulae, and galaxies. It features a back-illuminated CMOS sensor, which allows more photons to reach the photosensitive layer by placing the wiring beneath it. This design increases quantum efficiency, making the camera especially effective for imaging faint astronomical objects. Advanced cooling and anti-dew technology, along with robust sealing, ensure reliable performance even during long exposures and in varying environmental conditions.

Back-Illuminated CMOS Sensor
The back-illuminated sensor design significantly increases sensitivity by allowing more light to be converted into electrons, enhancing performance in low-light conditions and improving the camera’s ability to capture dim targets.

Cooling and Anti-Dew Control
Dual-stage TE cooling, a built-in dew heater, and a sealed chamber with a silicon gel tube keep the sensor dry and free from condensation. This ensures low noise and consistent operation during long imaging sessions.

Mono Camera Advantages
Monochrome cameras are ideal for advanced imaging techniques such as LRGB and narrowband, as well as scientific applications like spectrometry and photometry.
