The QHY PoleMaster electronic polar finder with a 1/4" camera thread is designed to make polar alignment fast, accurate, and easy for a variety of mounts. Traditional polar alignment can be time-consuming and often requires uncomfortable manual adjustments. With the PoleMaster, you simply attach the device to the front of the R.A. axis using the 1/4" camera thread. Its highly sensitive camera captures the northern sky, including Polaris and nearby faint stars, to precisely determine the true position of the North Celestial Pole.

The PoleMaster software displays both the R.A. rotation center and the true north point on your computer screen. By adjusting the mount until these points overlap, you achieve a precise polar alignment.
