The Starlight Xpress Trius PRO-814 Mono is a high-resolution cooled CCD camera designed for deep sky astrophotography. Starlight Xpress is known for its compact, innovative designs and excellent build quality, and the Trius series continues this tradition. These cameras deliver improved noise performance compared to earlier models, while maintaining fast download speeds of about two million pixels per second.

 

The Starlight Xpress Trius PRO-814 Mono camera is designed for astrophotographers who require high sensitivity, low noise, and high resolution. Its advanced cooling, integrated USB hub, and premium-grade sensor make it an excellent choice for producing detailed, low-noise images of a wide range of celestial objects.

 

Main Features

  • Integrated USB hub for connecting up to three peripheral devices directly to the camera (5V DC, maximum 200 mA per port), helping to reduce cable clutter on your telescope. A guider can be connected using the RJ11 output.

  • Multi-coated quartz glass optical window for enhanced image quality and durability.

  • Advanced Peltier cooling system with a rear fan that draws air through small holes in the front, plus an additional side fan to keep the camera cool in warmer conditions.

  • Argon-filled CCD sensor chamber to prevent moisture condensation and improve cooling efficiency due to argon's low thermal conductivity.

  • Adjustable adapter plate on the front of the camera for precise alignment of the sensor parallel to the telescope’s focal plane.

  • Only high-quality grade 1 or better CCD sensors are used, ensuring no dead pixels or defective columns.
