The Vixen R200SS Newtonian reflector features a fast 200mm (8") f/4 parabolic primary mirror, delivering extremely sharp images without chromatic aberration. Advanced coating technology ensures the mirror surface is optimal for high performance. This telescope provides wide views of deep sky objects, allowing you to observe groups of nebulae or star clusters simultaneously. Its large aperture and compact design make it excellent for astrophotography, especially for nebulae, star clusters, and comets.

Aluminium Vacuum Coating System:
Vixen’s unique aluminium vacuum coating process creates highly precise mirror surfaces, achieving exceptional accuracy. This technology is used on both the VC200L and R200SS models.

Sphinx SXD2 Mount with Star Book Ten:
The Sphinx Deluxe 2 (SXD2) mount, combined with the Star Book Ten hand controller, is designed for demanding observers and astrophotographers. It uses precision stepper motors and a Micro-Step Motion Control System for smooth and accurate tracking, enabling longer astrophotography exposures. Improved bearings and robust steel shafts in the R.A. and DEC. axes reduce motor load and increase stability. High-precision worm gears ensure smooth movement, and the declination axis serves as a counterweight for optimal balance.

The SXD2 mount comes with the Star Book Ten controller, which can be used manually or with a computer. The controller includes a large database and multilingual support. It is not compatible with older Star Book controllers.

SX-HAL130 Aluminium Tripod:
This tripod features strong aluminium legs and a large mounting area for SX and SXD mounts, providing excellent stability and minimizing vibrations. The tripod height is adjustable from 81 to 130 cm, and it weighs only 5.5 kg, making it easy to transport.
