The Vixen SLV 6mm eyepiece is designed for maximum comfort during observation, offering a generous 20mm eye relief even at short focal lengths. High-quality lanthanum glass is used to minimize chromatic aberration, resulting in sharp and clear images. All air-to-glass surfaces are coated with advanced multi-layer hard coatings to reduce reflections and ghosting while optimizing light transmission. The lens edges are blackened to further enhance contrast.

Screw-up eyecups make this eyepiece comfortable for spectacle wearers and help reduce stray light. The excellent imaging quality of the SLV series also makes these eyepieces ideal for astrophotography with digital cameras.
