MAGUS CLM microscope cameras are engineered for fluorescence and darkfield microscopy. The CLM90 model is monochrome, offering a maximum image resolution of 3200x2200 pixels. Depending on the resolution setting, the frame rate for video recording can be either 51.3 or 133.8 frames per second. This camera is compatible with 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x objectives and excels at capturing fine details, especially when used with low magnification objectives. The device features a Peltier cooling element that keeps the sensor at a stable, low temperature to maintain high image quality. The global shutter ensures images are free from distortion, even when imaging moving objects. Images are displayed on a monitor through a USB3.0 connection, guaranteeing no loss of quality. The camera is intended for professional applications and university-level training.

The camera houses a 1.1-inch diagonal SONY Exmor CMOS sensor with a pixel size of 4.5 x 4.5 μm. Back-illumination technology increases the sensor’s light sensitivity to 3354mV at a shutter speed of 1/30 second. Since the sensor is monochrome, it cannot display colors but produces bright, high-contrast images, which is especially valuable in low-light conditions. For the widest field of view, a 1x adapter is recommended.

The built-in Peltier element is a special thermoelectric module that keeps the sensor 42°C below room temperature. This cooling is essential because the sensor can heat up during extended use, leading to increased thermal noise and decreased image quality. The Peltier element maintains an optimal sensor temperature so that the image remains sharp and clear.

A standout feature of the CLM90 is the global shutter, which reads all sensor diodes simultaneously. This technology ensures the resulting images are accurate and free from distortion, even when the subject is moving.

The camera is supplied with software for capturing photos and videos, processing images, and making linear and angular measurements of objects and structures. Before performing measurements, calibrate the software for each objective using a calibration slide. The camera connects to a computer via USB3.0, which enables high-speed data transfer and high-quality live image display.

To install the camera, use the trinocular tube of the microscope and a C-mount adapter.
