Astrozap Filters Sun filter for outside diameters from 308mm to 314mm (7619)

These are safe, full aperture solar filters, sometimes called clear aperture filters. They are designed to allow the maximum amount of light into the telescope by making use of the full aperture. This provides the best possible daytime viewing, especially when atmospheric turbulence is minimal. If turbulence is present, a mask can be placed over the end of the filter to effectively reduce the aperture.

This premium solar filter features an aluminum cell that is secured and centered on the end of the telescope tube with nylon thumb screws and felt padding. The clear aperture uses high-quality, hand-selected, and carefully inspected reflective-coated glass. This is the highest quality, most durable glass full aperture solar filter available. The sun appears in a natural yellowish-orange color when viewed. The filter is suitable for both direct viewing through the telescope and for solar photography.

The filter comes in a foam-lined box for protection and shock absorption during handling. The box is durable enough for storing the filter when not in use.
