Leofoto GC-282AL (76105)

The Leofoto GC-282AL is an aluminum extension arm with gear adjustment, designed to be attached to a tripod in place of the existing head. The original tripod head is then mounted at the end of this extension arm.

At the rear end, the arm features a handle that functions as a combined lock for both pan and tilt movements. There is also a locking disc to prevent slipping when upright, and a friction adjustment to control the tension of the gear mechanism.

This extension arm incorporates a clever mechanism that combines a gear-driven center column with a 180-degree tilting arm and 360-degree horizontal rotation. Operation is simple: turn the handle at the end of the boom to unlock both tilt and rotation, position the arm as needed, then turn the handle the other way to lock everything securely in place.

The gear adjustment enables precise control over camera positioning, making this arm especially useful for macro photography where fine adjustments are required.

Leofoto constructs all metal parts from high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, enhanced with magnesium and silicon for additional strength and durability. This corrosion-resistant material has a yield strength comparable to structural steel. All parts are CNC-milled from solid material, providing much greater stability than cast parts.
