Description

Autoguiding is made easy with this camera, as its high-sensitivity modern CMOS sensor ensures you can always find a suitable guide star anywhere in the sky—even faint stars are easily detected. The camera supports short exposure times and high guiding frequencies, allowing it to correct even minor tracking errors in your mount. With native compatibility for PHD2 software and a built-in ST4 guide port, this camera is an excellent choice for all your autoguiding requirements.

The body of the camera is crafted from anodized aluminum and is designed in the shape of a 1.25" eyepiece, ensuring it fits any telescope without adding unnecessary weight to your setup. The front of the camera features a C- and CS-mount thread, and with an adapter, a standard 1.25" filter thread. This gives you the flexibility to attach small CCTV lenses or a wide variety of astronomical filters.

For deep-sky astrophotography, the camera’s high-sensitivity CMOS chip simplifies the imaging of faint nebulae and galaxies. Thanks to high quantum efficiency and low read noise, the sensor can capture details that are not visible through standard visual observation.

This camera is also well-suited for beginners interested in planetary and lunar astrophotography. You can easily capture images of Jupiter, Saturn, or lunar craters as seen through your eyepiece, making it possible to share your observations with others or even observe the Moon and planets together on a screen in real time.

The camera features a filter window that protects the sensor from dust and humidity. Omegon Pro color cameras include an infrared-blocking filter to ensure accurate color reproduction, while the mono version uses an anti-reflection window that is transparent from the ultraviolet to the infrared. This design allows you to use your own filters and gives you complete control over the transmission curve—ideal for advanced imaging and photometry.

Omegon Pro cameras are compatible with a wide range of astrophotography software through standard ASCOM and INDI interfaces. Native support is also available for popular programs like PHD2 and N.I.N.A.
