This updated version of the HIKMICRO Thunder Pro TE19C thermal imaging cap brings the popular design up to modern standards. Thanks to performance optimizations, this model now delivers up to 10 hours of continuous operation. The refresh rate has been increased to 50 Hz, providing much smoother and more comfortable observation. Additional features now include audio recording and automatic recording activation triggered by weapon recoil. Despite these enhancements, the cap retains its compact design and high image quality, offering effective detection of wildlife.

Please note: To properly mount the HIKMICRO 2.0 series caps, you must use an adapter compatible with the 2.0 line or Rusam ARM52 adapters without a reduction ring. 2.0 series caps are not compatible with older adapters from HIKMICRO.

Construction and Durability

The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE19C features a lightweight, durable body made of aluminum alloy, with dimensions of 187.2 × 62.5 × 59.2 mm. This makes it one of the lightest units in its class. Image Quality and Detection

The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE19C 2.0 is equipped with a highly sensitive 256 × 192 pixel sensor (<20 mK sensitivity), a 1024 × 768 OLED display, a 19 mm lens, and a built-in rangefinder. The low NETD value allows the sensor to detect even the smallest temperature differences, resulting in excellent image quality. This cap provides a clear view in complete darkness, fog, smoke, dust, rain, or snow. It offers 1× optical magnification and can detect targets at distances of up to 1,000 meters.

Observation Modes and Zoom

The device includes the popular PiP (picture-in-picture) feature, letting the user observe targets precisely while maintaining a wide field of view. It also offers digital zoom at 2×, 4×, and 8× levels. Four display modes are available:

• White hot: warmer objects appear brighter

• Black hot: warmer objects appear darker

• Red hot: similar to black hot but with red highlights for the hottest areas

• Fusion: color gradient from white, yellow, red, and pink to purple, representing temperatures from high to low

Image Enhancement Technologies

• DDE (Digital Detail Enhancement): smooths the image while emphasizing details

• 3DDNR (3D Digital Noise Reduction): reduces noise for improved image quality

• AGC (Automatic Gain Control): enhances contrast in the displayed scene

Variable Reticles and Rangefinder

The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE19C 2.0 offers five ballistic profiles, each of which can be personalized by choosing from ten different reticle types, adjusting for distance, color, or disabling the reticle for observation mode. A static rangefinder is also included, allowing distance measurement using preset factory values or user-defined settings.

Power, Storage, and Connectivity

The Thunder thermal imager is powered by two included batteries, with up to 10 hours of operation. Battery life can be extended with a power bank using the USB-C port, which also supports device charging. The cap has 16 GB of built-in memory for storing images and videos, and images can be transmitted wirelessly to a phone or other device using the dedicated app for Android or iOS.
