Durability and construction

The sight body is machined from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring strength and durability while weighing only 27 g. It is finished with hard anodizing for abrasion and scratch resistance. The housing is waterproof, dustproof, and reinforced with the ShockShield insert for recoil absorption.

Aggressive Fast-Rack fluting on the front allows the slide to be racked against surfaces using the optic. The slim profile supports smooth draws from concealment and comfortable all-day carry. Large side buttons provide a simple, user-friendly interface.

Optics and reticle

The Defender-CCW uses a multi-coated lens with anti-reflective treatments for excellent light transmission and clarity. The aspherical lens profile ensures sharpness across the entire field of view, not just in the center. This provides a bright, clear image even in low-light conditions.

The reticle is a 3 MOA green dot (depending on the model), with 1 MOA adjustment increments. Windage and elevation adjustments range up to 110 MOA (elevation) and 105 MOA (windage). A 1° micro tilt pad is included to assist with zeroing for longer-range shots.

Electronics and power supply

The sight is powered by a CR1632 battery, providing up to 9,500 hours of runtime at brightness level 6. The top-loading battery compartment allows quick replacement without removing the optic. The motion-activated sensor automatically powers the sight down after 10 minutes of inactivity and instantly reactivates it when the firearm is moved, ensuring readiness at all times.
