The Hasselblad H6D-400c MS is a specialized medium format system designed for photographers who require extreme resolution and color accuracy. Its defining feature is a unique multi-shot capture mode that records either four or six exposures in sequence and blends them into a single frame. In 6-shot mode, it produces a 400MP-equivalent image with exceptional color fidelity, sharpness, and virtually no moiré or aliasing.

This advanced multi-shot function is supported by the same imaging foundation as the H6D-100c: a 100MP CMOS sensor measuring 53.4 × 40mm. The sensor offers a wide ISO range of 64–12800, a 16-bit color depth, and up to 15 stops of dynamic range to maintain detail and smooth tonal transitions even under difficult lighting. Paired with a high-speed electronic platform, the camera also supports UHD 4K and Full HD video recording at 30 fps in Hasselblad RAW format.

Beyond imaging, the H6D-400c MS features updated connectivity, including USB 3.0 Type-C for fast 5 Gb/s transfers and responsive tethered workflows. A bright 3.0" 920k-dot touchscreen offers clear live view and intuitive menu control, while a mini-HDMI output supports external monitoring. Dual memory card slots (CFast + SD) allow fast in-camera storage, while files can also be saved remotely during tethered shooting. Built-in Wi-Fi works with the Phocus Mobile app on iOS for wireless control, previewing, and browsing.

Unlike standard single-shot imaging, the multi-shot system captures multiple exposures while precisely shifting the sensor using piezoelectric motors. This movement collects full RGB color information at every pixel location, producing images with enhanced color resolution and remarkable clarity.
