X1D-50c Medium Format Mirrorless Camera (Silver Body)

The X1D-50c brings a 50MP 43.8 × 32.9 mm CMOS medium format sensor into a compact mirrorless body. Designed and handmade in Sweden, it combines precision build quality with excellent ergonomics and a size comparable to smaller-format systems. The large sensor works with Hasselblad’s Natural Color Solution to deliver detailed RAW files with 16-bit color depth and up to 14 stops of dynamic range, producing smooth tonal transitions and lifelike color.

The camera offers clean image quality across an ISO range of 100–25600 and can shoot stills at up to 2.3 fps. It uses a Hasselblad Central Lens Shutter system, enabling shutter speeds from 60 minutes to 1/2000 second with full flash sync at all speeds. For motion, it records Full HD 1080p video at 25 fps using H.264 compression.

A 2.36MP XGA electronic viewfinder provides clear, eye-level viewing with the option to display shooting information and overlays, including framing for square and XPan-style panoramic formats. On the rear, a 3.0" 920k-dot touchscreen LCD gives intuitive control over settings and menus, as well as bright live view monitoring.

For tactile operation, the X1D features front and rear control dials and a lockable mode dial to avoid accidental changes. Two SD card slots provide flexible storage options for backup, overflow, or RAW/JPEG separation. Modern connectivity includes built-in Wi-Fi, a Mini HDMI port, audio input and output, and a fast USB 3.0 Type-C interface.

Hasselblad X System

The Hasselblad X system introduces mirrorless medium format in a compact form, combining the image quality of a large sensor with a portable, modern design inspired by the classic V system. By using a central leaf shutter in the lenses and a mirrorless body design, the system keeps operational noise and vibration low, making it suitable for quiet environments and long exposures.

The X1D-50c uses a 50MP CMOS sensor measuring 43.8 × 32.9 mm. It offers:

Thanks to the Hasselblad Natural Color Solution, the camera produces images with realistic color and rich detail, even in deep shadows and bright highlights. Sensitivity ranges from ISO 100 to 25600, and still images are saved in Hasselblad 3FR RAW format.

Hasselblad’s color system is designed to deliver natural, accurate colors straight out of the camera without requiring heavy use of presets. Combined with 16-bit color depth, it offers very smooth gradations that resemble the look and feel of high-quality analog film.

Full HD Video Recording

XCD 30mm f/3.5 Lens

The XCD 30mm f/3.5 is a wide-angle prime lens with a 24mm equivalent field of view on the X system. It covers the full 43.8 × 32.9 mm sensor area and offers a 71° angle of view, making it ideal for landscape, architecture, and reportage. Its minimum focus distance is 1.31' (40 cm), and the optical design is optimized for consistent sharpness across the frame and throughout the focus range.

As with all XCD lenses, it incorporates a Central Lens Shutter capable of shutter speeds up to 1/2000 second with flash sync at all speeds. It supports autofocus with internal focusing and can be manually overridden at any time. A 77mm front filter thread is provided.

XCD 45mm f/3.5 Lens

The XCD 45mm f/3.5 is a standard wide-angle lens offering a 35mm-equivalent focal length on full-frame. It covers the large X system sensor area (approximately 44 × 33 mm) and is suited for general-purpose, travel, and documentary photography.
