Nikon Z7II + 24-70mm f4 Kit (SKU N-VOA070K001)
The Nikon Z 7II keeps the familiar design of the original Z 7 but adds noticeably more power, speed and flexibility. It features a 45.7 MP FX-format back-illuminated CMOS sensor and dual EXPEED 6 image processors, making it an excellent choice for photographers who want maximum detail and image quality. The sensor does not use an optical low-pass filter, so it can resolve very fine detail. It also supports a native ISO range down to ISO 64 for rich, clean images with excellent dynamic range. Thanks to the updated processing, the camera can shoot at up to 10 fps with a deeper buffer for tracking moving subjects.

Description
UHD 4K video is supported up to 60p, with the option to record externally in 10-bit using N-Log or HLG (HDR). The sensor’s 493-point phase-detection AF system now includes Eye-Detect AF in Wide-Area AF modes and during video recording, and can focus in low light down to −4.5 EV. A 5-axis in-body Vibration Reduction (VR) system reduces camera shake with any attached lens.
To match this imaging performance, the Z 7II keeps its robust, comfortable body design but now includes dual card slots: one CFexpress Type B and one SD UHS-II for more flexible storage. A 3.6M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.2" 2.1M-dot tilting touchscreen LCD give you multiple ways to compose and review images. Built-in SnapBridge wireless connectivity supports remote control, easy image transfer and over-the-air firmware updates.
Firmware version 1.10 adds UHD 4K recording at 60p and 50p, enables raw video output to Blackmagic Design Video Assist recorders and improves eye-detection performance in Auto-Area AF and Wide-Area AF modes.
Second-Generation Z Improvements
Compared with the original Z 7, the Z 7II introduces a series of updates while preserving the core strengths of the first model:
-
Dual EXPEED 6 image processors increase buffer performance, enable 10 fps continuous shooting and reduce viewfinder blackout.
-
Updated AF adds Eye and Face Detection for both humans and animals in Wide-Area AF, for both photos and video.
-
Timed long exposures are now possible up to 900 seconds (15 minutes) without an external remote.
-
Dual memory card slots (one CFexpress Type B and one SD UHS-II) allow overflow, backup and split recording options.
-
The USB Type-C port supports in-camera charging and continuous power, ideal for longer shoots or travel.
-
The direction of focus ring rotation on lenses can be reversed to match your preferences.
-
External HDR (HLG) recording provides HDR-ready video for instant playback, while N-Log offers maximum flexibility for color grading.
-
Optional ProRes RAW upgrade (via service) allows ProRes RAW output to a compatible Atomos recorder, including 12-bit uncompressed raw over HDMI for advanced post-production.
-
SnapBridge wireless connectivity can also be used for firmware updates, avoiding the need for card-based updating.
-
Creative options include Multiple Exposure, 20 Picture Control settings and in-camera time-lapse recording. Focus Shift shooting allows you to capture up to 300 sequential frames with shifting focus for focus stacking.
-
Compatible with the optional MB-N11 Power Battery Pack for extended battery life and improved handling, especially in vertical orientation.
45.7 MP FX-Format BSI CMOS Sensor and Dual EXPEED 6 Processors
-
45.7 MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor designed for high resolution, low noise and fast readout.
-
Back-illuminated structure supports clean, high-sensitivity output with reduced noise at higher ISOs, up to a native ISO of 25,600, and smooth, detailed results at low ISO values such as ISO 64.
-
No optical low-pass filter is used, so the sensor can render maximum sharpness and fine detail.
-
Dual EXPEED 6 processors deliver high speed throughout the system, including continuous shooting up to 10 fps for up to about 50 consecutive frames (depending on settings).
UHD 4K Video Recording and Advanced Features
Beyond still photography, the Z 7II is highly capable for video and multimedia work:
-
UHD 4K video recording up to 60p.
-
Full HD 1080p recording up to 120p for smooth slow-motion playback.
-
Video can be recorded internally to the memory cards or output as uncompressed video via HDMI to an external recorder.
Advanced video options include:
-
N-Log gamma for flat, high dynamic range footage suitable for detailed color grading.
-
HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) for producing HDR-ready footage.
-
10-bit output via HDMI for higher color precision and better tonal detail with external recorders.
-
Electronic VR (e-VR) for additional stabilization during handheld video shooting.
-
Focus Peaking to assist with precise manual focusing.
-
Zebra display to highlight overexposed areas in the frame.
Audio:
-
Built-in stereo microphone for convenience.
-
3.5 mm microphone input for external microphones and greater control over sound quality.
-
3.5 mm headphone output for live audio monitoring during recording.
Firmware version 1.10 adds 4K 60p/50p recording and raw video output for Blackmagic Design Video Assist devices, and improves eye-detection AF in Auto-Area and Wide-Area AF modes.
493-Point Phase-Detect AF System
-
An array of 493 phase-detection AF points is built directly on the sensor.
-
AF coverage extends across approximately 90% of the image area, both vertically and horizontally.
-
This wide coverage allows fast, accurate focusing for stills and video, with reliable subject tracking nearly to the edges of the frame.
-
Hybrid AF for video automatically switches between phase-detection and contrast-detection methods to maintain smooth, stable focus.
-
Modern NIKKOR Z lenses are optimized for quiet and precise AF operation, which is ideal for video recording.
In-Body Vibration Reduction (VR)
-
5-axis sensor-shift in-body VR compensates for camera shake by up to approximately 5 stops, no matter which Z-mount lens you are using.
-
When F-mount lenses are attached via the optional FTZ adapter, 3-axis stabilization is available, improving stability and sharpness with adapted lenses.
Body Design and Handling
-
3.2" 2.1M-dot rear LCD: bright and sharp tilting screen for live view and playback, with full touch control for menus, focus point selection and review.
-
3.6M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder: 0.80× magnification, NIKKOR optics for clarity, with a fluorine coating for easier cleaning of the eyepiece.
-
Top-panel dot-matrix OLED display: low-power information screen showing key settings at a glance.
