Description

The OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mark II brings back the compact size and high-resolution image quality that OM is known for, while adding comfort and usability upgrades that make it an ideal camera for travel and adventure. It’s light enough to take everywhere, yet powerful enough to handle serious photography and video work.

USB-C Power and Transfer

The OM-5 Mark II includes a USB-C port that supports:

  • In-camera charging via power delivery

  • Fast transfer of photos and video

You can plug into a portable power bank (sold separately) to keep shooting all day in almost any environment.

Dedicated Computational Photography Button

A dedicated button on the top plate, next to the shutter release, gives instant access to the camera’s advanced computational tools, including:

  • High-Res Shot

  • Live ND

  • Focus Stacking

  • HDR

  • Multiple Exposure

This saves time and lets you use these creative functions without diving into menus.

New Low-Light Shooting Modes

Two new modes are designed specifically for challenging lighting:

  • Night Vision Mode shows more detail in very dark scenes, clearly rendering the night sky and foreground so you can compose more easily.

  • Hand Held Assist shows how stable your handheld long exposure is in real time, helping you decide whether your shot is steady enough.

New Cinema Color Profiles

For video, the OM-5 Mark II adds two OM Cinema color profiles:

  • OM Cinema 1

  • OM Cinema 2

These are designed to give your footage a cinematic look in-camera, without the need for heavy color grading afterward.

Updated OM SYSTEM Menu

The OM-5 Mark II uses OM SYSTEM’s newest menu layout, previously seen on the OM-1 Mark II and OM-3:

  • More logical grouping of features

  • Easier to read and navigate

  • Friendly to first-time users as well as experienced shooters

Improved Grip

A deeper, more sculpted handgrip gives a more secure hold, especially useful for one-handed shooting or when using longer lenses.

Imaging and Performance

20.4 MP Live MOS Sensor and TruePic IX Processor

The Mark II continues to use:

  • A 20.4 MP Four Thirds Live MOS sensor

  • The TruePic IX image processor

Together they offer:

  • Fast overall performance

  • Sensitivity up to ISO 25,600

  • 4K video recording

  • Up to 30 fps continuous shooting in Pro Capture mode, which begins buffering images as soon as you half-press the shutter so you can catch fast action that starts before you fully press the button

121-Point All Cross-Type Phase-Detection AF

The autofocus system combines:

  • 121 phase-detection AF points

  • 121 contrast-detection AF points

Key AF strengths:

  • All 121 phase-detect points are cross-type, improving accuracy in mixed or tricky lighting and enhancing subject tracking

  • Multiple AF area modes, including Group Target with 25 points, ideal for fast-moving subjects such as wildlife and birds

  • Face and Eye Detection modes for portraits

  • Starry Sky AF for astrophotography

  • Separate AF area settings for vertical and horizontal camera orientations

5-Axis In-Body Image Stabilization

The OM-5 Mark II’s sensor-shift stabilizer provides up to about 6.5 stops of shake compensation with any lens:

  • Corrects five types of movement: pitch, yaw, vertical shift, horizontal shift and roll

  • Particularly helpful for telephoto, macro and long exposure shots

With compatible lenses that include optical stabilization:

  • Combined stabilization (Sync IS) can offer up to about 7.5 stops of correction

This system also enhances:

  • High-Res Shot mode

  • Hand Held Assist for long exposures

  • General low-light handheld shooting

OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 14–150mm f/4–5.6 II Lens

This kit includes the versatile M.Zuiko Digital ED 14–150mm f/4–5.6 II:

  • Designed as an all-in-one zoom for Micro Four Thirds cameras

  • Equivalent focal length range: 28–300 mm, covering wide-angle to super-telephoto

Optics and performance:

  • Uses a mix of special elements, including:

    • Dual Super Aspherical

    • Aspherical

    • E-HR (Extra-High Refractive Index)

    • High refractive index

    • EDA and extra-low dispersion glass

  • These elements help reduce spherical aberration, distortion, chromatic aberration and color fringing, improving sharpness, clarity and color accuracy across the zoom range

  • ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating minimizes flare and ghosting for better contrast and color in strong light

Focusing and durability:

  • Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus for quiet, smooth and fast operation in both video and stills

  • Dust-, freeze- and splash-resistant construction for reliable performance in harsh conditions

Package Includes
