The Levenhuk MED 25B microscope is a binocular laboratory instrument equipped with two condensers: one for brightfield and one for darkfield observation. Both condensers support oil immersion techniques. Optical design and viewing comfort

The binocular head rotates through 360 degrees, while the viewing tube is inclined at 30 degrees to ensure comfortable long-term observation. The microscope is supplied with wide-field eyepieces offering 10x magnification. These eyepieces include diopter adjustment, allowing the optics to be tailored to the user’s eyesight. A revolving nosepiece holds four plan achromatic objectives that produce images with minimal aberrations. The 100x objective supports oil immersion, and two of the objectives are fitted with spring-loaded protective frames. All optical components feature an anti-fungal coating.

Stage, focusing, and illumination

Specimens are positioned on a mechanical double-layer stage with measurement scales and smooth movement along both horizontal axes. Image sharpness is adjusted using coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs, which offer precise, smooth focusing with a fine adjustment pitch. Illumination is provided from below by a 20 W halogen lamp with adjustable brightness. Light passes through an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. Three light filters are included in the kit. A darkfield condenser, also included, can be installed for darkfield observation and supports oil immersion as well.

The illumination system is powered by an AC power supply.
