The eyecups lock securely into position, eliminating accidental adjustments thanks to precise, well-defined mechanics.

Premium optics for brilliant image quality and high resolution
The EDX binoculars are based on the classic Schmidt–Pechan roof prism system, but the glass types used have been newly developed. The innovative ED (extra-low dispersion) glass reduces color fringing more effectively than conventional glass types, resulting in perfectly balanced and vibrant colors. The newly developed PHC140 phase coating suppresses 99% of unwanted wave-optical interference, preventing even the slightest image blur.

Advanced coatings for razor-sharp contours
Maximum resolution and edge-to-edge sharpness are ensured by the special DDlucid coating, applied to both roof surfaces of the prisms. This coating, derived from advanced Japanese photo-industry technology, is an evolution of classic extra-low reflection coatings and ranks among the most effective coatings currently available. Comparable technology is typically found only in premium binoculars.

Lightweight all-round binoculars, even for low-light use
During development, particular emphasis was placed on achieving an exceptionally wide field of view. The EDX 10×30 offers an impressive 120 m field of view at 1,000 m, allowing the observer to capture a very large scene at a glance—comparable to the length of a football field. Despite this wide field, image sharpness remains excellent right to the edges.

Outstanding close-focus performance
The close-focus distance begins at 1.2 m for the EDX 8×30 and 10×30 models. This allows even nearby objects, such as insects or birds at close range, to appear sharp and detailed. The combination of high resolution and minimal edge blur makes these binoculars ideal for demanding wildlife observation.

Robust, precise, and built for demanding conditions
The EDX Fieldstar offers a premium viewing experience not only because of its wide field of view but also due to its advanced optical and mechanical construction. Dielectric prism mirrors enable total light transmission of over 91.7%, while internal anti-reflection treatments effectively suppress stray light. The diopter adjustment range is ±3.5 and is positioned on the right eyepiece.

The housing, made from an aluminium alloy combined with reinforced polycarbonate, is shock-resistant and protected by durable rubber armoring for a secure grip. The adjustable eyecups are constructed from robust metal alloy, ensuring long-term durability and protecting the eyepieces. The binoculars are fully waterproof and fog-free, ready for use in all weather conditions.
