The diopter adjustment is positioned on the right eyepiece and is simple to operate, minimizing the risk of user error. Spectacle wearers can precisely adjust the eyecups to achieve the correct eye distance without sacrificing the wide field of view. The eyecups lock securely into place, and the clearly defined mechanics prevent accidental adjustment.

Premium optics for brilliant images and high resolution
The EDX series is based on the classic Schmidt–Pechan roof prism system, but the glass types used have been completely redeveloped. The innovative ED (extra-low dispersion) glass reduces color fringing more effectively than previous glass types, resulting in vivid, well-balanced colors. The newly developed PHC140 phase coating suppresses 99% of unwanted wave-optical interference, preventing even the smallest loss of sharpness.

Innovative coatings for razor-sharp contours
Maximum resolution and freedom from edge blur are ensured by the DDlucid coating, which is applied to both roof surfaces of the prisms. Originating from advanced Japanese photo-industry technology, this coating is an evolution of classic extra-low reflection coatings. DDlucid is among the most effective coatings currently available and is typically found only in premium binoculars.

Lightweight all-round binoculars, even in low light
During development, particular emphasis was placed on achieving a very wide field of view. The EDX 10×30 offers an impressive 120 m field of view at 1,000 m, allowing a large scene to be captured at a glance—roughly the length of a football field. Despite this wide view, image sharpness remains excellent right to the edges, with virtually no blurring.

Excellent close-focus performance
The close-focus distance starts at 1.2 m for the EDX 8×30 and 10×30 models. Even nearby objects can be seen clearly and in sharp focus, making these binoculars ideal for observing animals, birds, and insects. High resolution and minimal edge blur ensure fine details are easily visible.

Robust construction and advanced technology
The EDX Fieldstar delivers a high-quality nature experience not only because of its wide field of view, but also due to its advanced optical design. Dielectric prism mirrors provide total light transmission of more than 91.7%, while special internal coatings effectively reduce stray light. The diopter adjustment range is ±4 and is located on the right eyepiece.

The shock-resistant housing, made from an aluminium alloy combined with reinforced polycarbonate, is protected by durable rubber armoring for a secure grip and long service life. The adjustable eyecups are made from a tough metal alloy, ensuring wear-free durability and protecting the eyepieces. The binoculars are fully waterproof and fog-free, ready for use in all weather conditions.
