Hubble Optics Handpad Controller

The Hubble Optics handpad features a built-in, astronomer-adjustable LED flashlight and a glow-in-the-dark keypad, making it easy to operate even in complete darkness without compromising night vision.

A keyboard lock function is included, allowing only the arrow keys to remain active. This is especially useful when handing the controller to the general public, for example during outreach events, as users can safely move the telescope to explore objects like the Moon without the risk of changing critical settings.

The handpad is fully addressable, which means multiple telescopes operating in the same observing area can use handpads simultaneously without interference. Each controller communicates only with its assigned telescope, eliminating the risk of accidentally controlling the wrong instrument.

With the SiTech control system, whether wired or wireless, response is immediate. There is virtually no delay between pressing a button and the telescope’s movement, making object centering smooth and precise with no overshoot.

An integrated auto-guider port is also built in, providing additional flexibility for advanced tracking and guiding applications.
