These cameras are equipped with modern, color CMOS sensors offering excellent performance, including very high sensitivity, extremely low noise levels, and low power consumption. Compared with previously used CCD sensors, the latest CMOS sensors provide significantly improved color reproduction.

HDMI cameras allow the device to be connected directly to a projector screen or television, without the need for a computer, or wirelessly to a computer via WiFi. The HDMI interface ensures very fast camera operation and enables smooth live image viewing. This is particularly useful in applications where precision is required and any transmission delay is unacceptable, such as workshops, veterinary clinics, and similar environments. The DLT-Cam HDMI can also be used in education, making it easy to share a microscopic image with a wide audience in HD quality.

When operating via HDMI directly on a display, the camera allows the image to be “frozen,” measurement scales to be overlaid on the screen, and photos to be captured directly to an SD card. The camera can also be calibrated against a reference standard, such as a micrometer slide, and used for measurements. Using the included mouse, the user can control various device parameters.

It is now possible to work with tablets and smartphones running Android. The image can be displayed directly on these devices. From a phone or tablet, the user can control basic camera parameters, including exposure time and white balance, take photos, and record videos. In WiFi mode, the camera supports up to three devices simultaneously.

When connected to a computer via WiFi, the cameras are operated using the Polish-language Delta Optical DLT-Cam Viewer software, designed for capturing photos and video recordings from the DLT-Cam PRO camera. The software is intuitive and offers extensive control over the device’s operating parameters. In the Windows environment, the user can adjust, among other things, exposure times (automatic and manual), contrast, and gamma. White balance can be set manually or automatically based on the live preview. The software enables measurements and their export to MS Excel, focus stacking, micro-panorama stitching (both for previously captured images and live view), high dynamic range (HDR) image composition, insertion of scale references, application of filters, counting functions, noise reduction, and real-time image sharpening. A time-lapse video recording function is also available.

This camera model allows photos to be captured at a resolution of 5 megapixels. Live preview and video recording are performed in Full HD resolution (2 megapixels).

Camera drivers can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website. An application enabling camera operation on Android devices is also available.
