Description

Delta Optical DLT-Cam PRO series microscope cameras are designed for use with a wide range of microscope models. Thanks to the included optical adapters, they can be used with microscopes equipped with eyepiece tubes or additional camera ports (third optical paths) with a diameter of 23.2 mm. Sony Exmor sensors are characterized by a very low noise level. Cameras equipped with these sensors perform well not only in standard bright-field observations, but also in dark-field, phase-contrast, and even fluorescence applications. The wide dynamic range makes it possible to capture details in both dark and bright areas of the image in a way that is not achievable with many other camera models.

Color reproduction is of a very high standard. The results obtained with these cameras are often compared to CCD sensors, which have traditionally outperformed CMOS sensors in this area.

The cameras are operated using the Polish-language Delta Optical DLT-Cam Viewer software, designed for capturing photos and video recordings from DLT-Cam PRO cameras. The software is intuitive and offers extensive control over camera operating parameters. Users can adjust exposure times (automatic and manual), contrast, gamma, saturation, and limit the camera’s field of view. White and black balance can be set manually or automatically based on a selected area of the live preview. The software enables measurements with export to MS Excel, focus stacking, micro-panorama stitching (both for previously captured images and live view), high dynamic range (HDR) image composition, insertion of scale references, application of filters, saving camera settings as presets, independent selection of live preview resolution and photo capture resolution, counting functions, illumination uniformity correction across the field of view, noise reduction, and real-time image sharpening. Additional features include interval photography (intervalometer), digital binning settings, and histogram display with adjustable ranges, including separate control for individual RGB channels.

The USB 3.0 interface ensures fast camera operation and allows smooth image acquisition even under very low light conditions. This makes the camera a versatile solution for a wide variety of applications.

Camera drivers are available for download from the manufacturer’s website.
