Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" (250/1270) Dobsonian Telescope (86285)

The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" Dobsonian telescope is a modern astronomical instrument designed for high optical performance. It is well suited for detailed observation of Solar System objects as well as deep-sky phenomena. The optical elements are made of BK-7 glass and feature aluminum coatings with 92–95% reflectivity. This high reflectivity enhances brightness and contrast, allowing effective observation of distant or faint celestial targets. The parabolic primary mirror gathers light efficiently and eliminates spherical aberration, ensuring sharp and accurate images.

Description

With a powerful 254 mm aperture and a 1270 mm focal length, this telescope reveals exceptional detail across the night sky. It can resolve lunar features as small as 1.5 km, atmospheric activity on Mars and Jupiter, and fine planetary details such as the Encke Gap in Saturn’s rings. Numerous deep-sky objects from the NGC catalog, including nebulae and galaxies, become accessible. Under favorable viewing conditions, even the dwarf planet Pluto may appear as a faint, star-like point. These capabilities make the telescope an excellent choice for experienced observers while offering ambitious beginners a strong and future-ready platform.

Stable and Easy-to-Use Dobsonian Mount

The optical tube assembly is mounted on a manually operated Dobsonian mount known for its stability and simplicity. The mount allows smooth manual tracking and easy pointing without the need for motorized drives. Assembly and disassembly are straightforward. The telescope operates reliably in temperatures ranging from −5°C to +35°C.

The optical tube is constructed from metal, while the Dobsonian base is crafted from durable wood, ensuring structural strength and long-term reliability.

Complete Accessory Set

The telescope includes essential accessories for immediate use: 10 mm and 25 mm Plössl eyepieces (1.25") and an 8×40 optical finderscope to assist with accurate target location.
