Description
Vaonis Smart Telescope AP 50/250 Vespera II with High Carbon Tripod (86779)
Vaonis now provides a 3-year manufacturer warranty for the Vespera II, Vespera PRO, and Hestia models.
The New Vespera II – A Smart Observation Station
Vespera II represents the next step in the evolution of its predecessor. It combines a telescope and a camera into one intelligent, fully automated observation station. Designed for ease of use, it makes exploring the night sky accessible to everyone. Users can observe celestial objects, capture their own astrophotography, learn about space, and share discoveries through a single integrated system.
If you have ever wanted to photograph the stars, Vespera II allows you to do so at the touch of a button. The device integrates advanced technology for observing and imaging deep-sky objects such as galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. Equipped with the larger Sony IMX585 sensor and enhanced by CovalENS technology, it delivers significantly higher resolution and improved detail. Wide-field objects such as the North America Nebula or the Andromeda Galaxy can now be captured with greater clarity.
The dedicated Singularity app adds educational content, making observation more interactive and engaging. Live stacking technology reveals objects invisible to the naked eye. Simply select a target in the app, and Vespera II automatically aligns and tracks it.
Automated Setup and Operation
Auto-initialisation allows the telescope to calibrate itself in under five minutes. It uses your smartphone’s GPS, star pattern recognition (plate solving), and astrometry for precise configuration.
Automatic alignment is enabled by built-in Go-To technology. Select a celestial object from the catalogue or enter sky coordinates, and the telescope moves and aligns itself automatically.
Auto-tracking is managed by stepper motors and an integrated computer, compensating for Earth’s rotation to keep the selected object centred.
Advanced Optical System
Vespera II features a 50 mm quadruplet apochromatic refractor developed by Vaonis. The optical system consists of two groups of two Lanthanum glass lenses. This design minimises distortion, chromatic aberration, and astigmatism, delivering sharp and precise images.
The highly sensitive Sony IMX585 sensor is optimised for extremely low-light conditions. Vaonis has designed a dedicated electronic board to improve heat dissipation, reducing image noise and maintaining consistent performance.
Singularity App – Your Control Centre
The Singularity app serves as the telescope’s command centre. Its intuitive interface provides access to a catalogue of over 200 celestial objects. It offers personalised observation recommendations based on your location and astronomical calendars, along with educational insights about the cosmos. The app guides users throughout their observing experience.
CovalENS Mosaic Technology
CovalENS enables users to create wide mosaic images of the night sky. Multiple images of adjacent sky regions are captured and stitched together into a seamless larger image. Advanced algorithms align the frames and correct distortions, allowing for breathtaking panoramic views that would otherwise be difficult to achieve.
LumENS – AI-Powered Companion
LumENS is available free of charge for Vespera users. This AI-powered assistant answers astronomy-related questions, explains observed objects in real time, and provides up-to-date astronomical knowledge. Interaction is possible via voice or keyboard. Voice input is currently supported in English and French, while keyboard chat works in all preset languages.
This development makes astronomy more accessible and engaging for beginners and experienced users alike.
