The Panthera TEC series completes the Panthera microscope family with a dedicated solution for industrial and materials science applications. This incident light microscope is designed to examine semiconductors, LCD panels, wafers, and compound materials. Its brightfield and darkfield illumination concept allows detailed surface analysis, while selected models offer additional transmitted light through integrated LED illumination to broaden application possibilities.

The system combines robust construction with intelligent illumination control, making it suitable for demanding laboratory and industrial environments.

Optical and Viewing System

The microscope features a trinocular Siedentopf tube with a 25° viewing angle. The tube rotates 360° and has a fixed 50:50 beam split for camera use. Wide-field UC-WF 10x/22 mm eyepieces are included, each with diopter adjustment and protective eyecups for comfortable extended viewing.

It operates with an infinity-corrected optical system and provides a magnification range from 50x to 500x. The objective turret holds five rear-facing positions and incorporates the Motic LightTracer intelligent light management system.

The objective set includes:

• Plan Achromat LD 5X/0.13 (working distance 20.3 mm)

• Plan Achromat LD 10X/0.25 (working distance 17.5 mm)

• Plan Achromat LD 20X/0.40 (working distance 8.1 mm)

• Plan S-Apochromat 50X/0.80 (working distance 1 mm)

The plan achromatic and S-apochromatic optics ensure flat-field, high-contrast imaging across the field of view.

Illumination and Light Management

The compact incident light illuminator is equipped with a 3W LED designed for brightfield and darkfield operation. It includes both field and aperture diaphragms, as well as a sliding slot for polariser and analyser integration.

The integrated “Motic LightTracer” system stores illumination settings and provides automatic ON/OFF functionality. A built-in LED display shows brightness levels and power status. A USB port is available for camera power supply.

The system runs on a 100–240V power supply with a VDE plug and CE certification.

Mechanical Construction and Stage

The microscope includes a coaxial coarse and fine focusing system, with adjustable coarse drive for precise control.

A 6" x 4" cross table offers a travel range of 150 x 100 mm and a surface area of 300 x 180 mm. As an alternative, a 3" x 2" cross table with a 180 x 140 mm surface area and 75 x 50 mm travel range is available on request.

The five-position objective revolver ensures efficient switching between magnifications.
