Precision Focusing
The single focusing system features separate helicoid adjustments for each side, allowing smooth and precise focusing. Diopter adjustment is available on both sides, ensuring sharp images tailored to each eye.
Wide-Angle 18 mm Flat-Field Eyepieces
The included 18 mm wide-angle eyepieces provide a 65° apparent field of view. Their flat-field design ensures sharpness across the entire image and minimizes edge distortion. Compared to many standard models, these eyepieces reveal more of the sky and landscape in one glance.
Interchangeable Eyepieces and Filters
The 1.25-inch eyepiece holders allow easy replacement with other astronomical eyepieces, enabling different magnifications as desired. Zoom eyepieces can also be used for variable magnification.
Integrated filter threads make it possible to attach standard 1.25-inch filters. Light pollution filters can enhance nebula contrast, while neutral density filters are suitable for lunar observation.
Comfortable Two-Eye Observation
Each eye has its own optical path, providing a natural and immersive viewing experience. Observing with both eyes enhances depth perception and reduces fatigue during extended sessions.
Lightweight Magnesium Construction
Despite their large aperture, the binoculars remain manageable in weight thanks to the magnesium housing. This ensures strength and durability while maintaining portability for excursions and field use.
90° Viewing Angle for Astronomy
The 90° angled eyepieces are especially beneficial for amateur astronomers observing objects near the zenith. This configuration allows a comfortable posture when looking straight up, improving both observing comfort and the ability to detect fine details.
Stable Mounting and Handling
A well-designed carrying handle ensures secure handling during transport and setup. The integrated tripod connector on the underside allows quick attachment to a sturdy tripod. For optimal stability, a robust tripod with a video head or fork mount is recommended.
