Description

Omegon Binoculars Brightsky ED-APO 26x82 – 90° + Case (85785)

The Brightsky ED-APO 26x82 binoculars take performance to a higher level with advanced ED-APO objective optics. Compared to the standard version, they deliver even greater sharpness, improved contrast and exceptionally natural colour reproduction. Whether observing landscapes or exploring the night sky, these binoculars reveal fine details with impressive clarity.

With large 82 mm objective lenses and ED-APO glass elements, chromatic aberration is significantly reduced. The result is a bright, high-contrast image with excellent colour fidelity, even in challenging lighting conditions.

Designed for both daytime and nighttime use, these binoculars are equally suitable for wildlife observation at twilight and astronomical viewing after dark.

A rugged hard-shell case is included. It features a custom-fit insert, secure fasteners and a sturdy carrying handle for safe transport.

Key Features

  • ED-APO objective optics for superior sharpness and colour accuracy

  • 90° angled eyepieces for comfortable astronomical viewing up to the zenith

  • Interchangeable 1.25" eyepieces for flexible magnification options

  • Waterproof and nitrogen-filled construction for reliable use in humid conditions

  • Lightweight magnesium housing for strength and portability

  • Fully multi-coated optics for maximum light transmission and reduced reflections

Precision Focusing System

The single focusing mechanism features smooth, high-quality helicoid adjustments on both sides. Diopter compensation is available for both eyepieces, ensuring precise visual alignment and crisp, detailed images.

Wide-Angle 18 mm Flat-Field Eyepieces

The included 18 mm wide-angle eyepieces provide a 65° apparent field of view. Their flat-field design ensures sharpness across the entire image, minimizing distortion and maintaining clarity right to the edge.

Interchangeable Eyepieces and Filter Compatibility

The 1.25-inch eyepiece holders allow easy replacement with other astronomical eyepieces to adjust magnification as needed. Zoom eyepieces can also be used for variable magnification.

Integrated filter threads allow the use of standard 1.25-inch filters. Light pollution filters can enhance nebula contrast, while neutral density filters are useful for lunar observation.

Comfortable Two-Eye Viewing

Each eye has its own optical system, creating a natural and immersive observing experience. Viewing with both eyes improves depth perception and reduces fatigue during longer sessions.

Magnesium Construction for Reduced Weight

Despite the large aperture, the magnesium housing keeps the binoculars relatively lightweight while maintaining structural durability. This makes them suitable for both field use and transport.

90° Viewing Angle for Astronomy

The 90° angled eyepieces are particularly advantageous for observing objects near the zenith. This configuration allows a relaxed posture when looking straight upward, improving comfort and helping you detect fine details more easily.

Stable Handling and Mounting

A sturdy carrying handle ensures secure grip during setup. The integrated tripod connector on the underside allows quick attachment to a stable mount. For best performance, a solid tripod with a video head or fork mount is recommended.
