The TeleVue Delos 17.3 mm eyepiece is part of a premium series developed to deliver reference-quality optical performance for demanding observers. With a 72° apparent field of view and a comfortable 20 mm eye relief, it provides an immersive yet relaxed viewing experience. Every optical, mechanical, and ergonomic detail has been carefully engineered to ensure exceptional sharpness, contrast, and ease of use. This focal length is particularly well suited for detailed deep-sky observation while still offering excellent planetary performance.

The Delos design was conceived as a slightly narrower-field alternative to the Ethos concept. By limiting the apparent field to 72°, the designers were able to increase eye relief and precisely control pupil aberrations without increasing the overall size of the eyepiece. The result is edge-to-edge sharpness, highly accurate distortion correction, and excellent color neutrality. Carefully matched glass elements, advanced multi-coatings, and optimized anti-reflection surfaces maximize brightness and image fidelity.

Contrast is further enhanced by a continuously adjustable and lockable eyeguard system. The large 35 mm diameter eye lens helps reduce stray light and prevents unwanted reflections from entering the observer’s eye, improving perceived contrast. The sliding rubber eyeguard can be positioned at the ideal height for individual comfort, with indicator marks on the housing allowing easy and repeatable adjustment. The eyeguard can also rotate for compatibility with Dioptrx systems.
