TeleVue Focusmate Driver Focusing Motor for NP127is (Model 22947)
The TeleVue Focusmate Driver is an adjustable-speed electric motor designed to enhance focusing precision on compatible TeleVue telescopes, including the NP127is. It installs easily onto the Focusmate unit and features a unique quick-disconnect mechanism, allowing you to switch between motorized and manual focusing without the use of tools. This flexibility makes it ideal for both imaging and visual observing.
The system includes a battery-operated hand controller with forward and reverse buttons and a variable-speed control knob. The vibration-free motor drive ensures smooth and stable focusing, even at high magnifications. When used with a compatible Digital Indicator Kit (available for most current TeleVue models except the non-“is” version of the TV-60), focus measurements can reach an extraordinary precision of 0.0001 inches (1/10,000"). A light tap on the direction switch allows ultra-fine focus adjustments of approximately 0.0005 inches.
This combination of precision, smooth operation, and easy switching between manual and motorized control delivers highly refined focusing performance for demanding astrophotography and detailed visual work.
