The Star Tracker includes a pole finder mount but does not come with a pole finder itself. A compatible pole finder, such as the EQ5 model from Skywatcher, can be used. The tracker also features a flat surface with a stop, allowing a smartphone to be securely positioned. With freely available apps, the smartphone’s internal sensors can assist in aligning the mount with the North Star or the South Celestial Pole.
