Precision Aneroid Barometer for Measuring Absolute Atmospheric Pressure

This aneroid barometer is designed for precise measurement of absolute atmospheric air pressure. It features a high-quality measuring mechanism with a five-fold aneroid capsule system made from a copper–beryllium alloy, ensuring long-term stability and reliability.

The aneroid capsules are virtually free from ageing, hysteresis, and elastic after-effects. Temperature influences on the capsule system and transmission mechanism are fully compensated by a bimetal element across the entire measuring range and within a temperature range from −30 °C to +40 °C. Movement of the capsule system is transmitted to the pointer axis via a finely toothed drive and segment. All bearings are carefully polished, and the optimized design of the linkage and bearing system ensures extremely low static friction.

Black Edition Design

Inspired by marine chronometers—an essential instrument on a ship’s bridge—Fischer introduced a limited “Black Edition” of this precision aneroid barometer in 2024. The instrument features an elegant black-lacquered solid wood case combined with a black dial and a brushed stainless steel bezel. A double-edged index pointer integrated into the cover glass allows parallax-free reading of the measured value.

The Black Edition is strictly limited to just 24 units, with each instrument individually numbered on its type plate. Every barometer is manufactured in the Fischer workshops in the Ore Mountains.
