Description
Ocean Signal SafeSea EPIRB1 Pro CAT I - Compact Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon
The SafeSea EPIRB1 Pro is a state-of-the-art Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB), designed for all commercial, fishing, and leisure vessels. Operating in the 406MHz satellite band, this device ensures a rapid response in times of distress, thanks to its monitoring by Cospas-Sarsat, the international search and rescue satellite operator. Its compact and durable design makes it the most compact EPIRB available, while maintaining maximum efficiency with a 10-year battery life.
- Approved for use on SOLAS vessels
- Most compact Float Free EPIRB - 30% Smaller Footprint (typically)
- Advanced 66 channel GPS receiver for fast and accurate position acquisition
- Float Free bracket with automatic release housing and Hydrostatic Release Unit
- High intensity strobe lights for enhanced visibility
- 10 Year Battery Life for prolonged operational readiness
- Intuitive operating controls protected from accidental activation
- Complies with all International standards including IMO and GMDSS
- Class 2 EPIRB suitable for a temperature range of -20°C to +55°C
- Non-hazardous battery
This EPIRB is equipped with a 121.5MHz homing beacon for rescue services to precisely locate vessels in distress. The high-brightness LED strobe light enhances visibility, especially at night. In emergency situations, the EPIRB1 Pro includes a Category I Automatic Release Housing ('float free'), which ensures automatic deployment by the internal Hydrostatic Release Unit. This system not only activates the EPIRB but also allows it to float to the surface to send a distress message to the satellite network.
The Automatic Release Housing (ARH) features a convenient adapter for multiple retrofit options, allowing easy mounting using existing holes from older EPIRBs like the Ocean Signal E100/E100G, Jotron Tron 60S, and McMurdo E5/G5.
